The Avicenna Center for E-Learning organized a workshop titled “Creating Electronic Forms Using Google Forms” on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. The workshop was presented by Assistant Instructor Ibtehal Munem Hamid.
The workshop aimed to teach attendees how to use Google Forms, whether for creating questions, attendance forms, or surveys.
Ms. Ibtehal provided a practical demonstration on how to access Google Forms and create forms suited to various purposes. She highlighted its key features, noting that Google Forms is a free tool offered by Google that enables users to easily and quickly create surveys and electronic forms. The tool allows for collecting information and data from a wide range of individuals online, with all data being directly stored in the user’s Google Drive account.
Ms. Ibtehal emphasized that one of the main advantages of Google Forms is its simple and intuitive user interface, which allows users to create and customize forms without needing advanced technical skills. It integrates seamlessly with Google Drive, automatically saving all responses and data in Google Sheets, facilitating data analysis. Users can also customize the appearance and content of their forms by adding images, videos, and changing colors and fonts.
She explained that the program offers a variety of question types, such as text questions, multiple-choice, dropdown lists, and rating scales, allowing users to collect diverse data in different ways. Users can set up email notifications for new responses and share their forms with colleagues to collaborate on data collection and analysis.
By the end of the workshop, attendees had gained a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively create and use Google Forms to achieve their goals, whether for educational, research, or business purposes.
