The Avicenna Center for E-Learning organized a workshop titled “Teaching Computer Skills to Children” on Thursday, November 14, 2024, led by Ms. Intisar Hussein and Ms. Atoor Abbas.
The workshop aimed to introduce children to basic computer components while providing an engaging, interactive learning experience to nurture their early technical skills and awareness of technology.
The session welcomed a group of children from the University of Baghdad’s kindergarten, where they were warmly received and actively engaged in fun activities designed to simplify the concept of computers.
The workshop began with an introduction to the primary components of a computer, such as the keyboard, monitor, and mouse. Each part was explained in an age-appropriate manner that sparked curiosity.
It also featured educational games and activities to develop logical thinking and social interaction skills among the children.
This initiative reflects the Center’s commitment to fostering technological awareness from an early age, recognizing the importance of technology in shaping an educated, capable generation.
