\u201cWomen and Remote Work: Advantages and Challenges\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Avicenna Center for E-Learning organized a workshop entitled <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWomen and Remote Work: Advantages and Challenges.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop was delivered by: <\/span><\/p>\n

Assist. Lect. Maryam Ali Matloob, a faculty member at our Center, and Assist. Lect. Asaad Abdul Rahman, a faculty member at the Computer Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop was held on Monday, 16\/2\/2026, in person at the hall of the Computer Center, within the framework of joint cooperation between the two centers for the year 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of remote work and its importance in the digital era, highlight the active role of women in the labor market through this modern work model, and demonstrate its contribution to their economic and social empowerment. <\/span><\/p>\n

It also sought to promote a culture of flexible work and clarify its impact on achieving a balance between professional and family responsibilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, the workshop emphasized the importance of developing technical and administrative skills to keep pace with the requirements of remote work. <\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop included an introductory presentation on the emergence and development of remote work, as well as the main fields in which women can engage, such as e-learning, design, content management, customer service, and digital marketing. <\/span><\/p>\n

It also discussed the advantages of this type of work, including flexible time management, reduced transportation costs, and expanded job opportunities beyond geographical boundaries. <\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of institutional support for remote work initiatives and the provision of specialized training programs to enhance women\u2019s technical and professional skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

It also called for strengthening confidence in women\u2019s capabilities and empowering them to seize available opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session witnessed fruitful interaction from the attendees through discussions and questions, resulting in several recommendations aimed at fostering a flexible and sustainable work environment for women.<\/span><\/p>\n
