Avicenna Center for E-Learning organized a workshop entitled <\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cProgramming for Children and Adolescents.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
Avicenna Center for E-Learning held the workshop titled <\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cProgramming for Children and Adolescents,\u201d which was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ali Matloob, a faculty member at our center, on Tuesday, 17\/2\/2026.<\/span><\/div>\n
The workshop took place in person at the Electronic Computing Center Hall as part of the cooperation mechanism between the two centers for the year 2025.<\/span><\/div>\n
The workshop aimed to introduce children and adolescents to the concept of programming as the language of the era and one of the most important skills of the future.<\/span><\/div>\n
It sought to develop their logical and analytical thinking abilities and enhance their problem-solving skills in an organized manner.<\/span><\/div>\n
It also aimed to build their self-confidence by enabling them to create simple digital projects independently, foster creativity and innovation, encourage them to invest their time in beneficial scientific and practical activities, and raise their awareness of the importance of technology in shaping their academic and professional future. <\/span><\/div>\n
The workshop included a simplified presentation of fundamental programming concepts such as algorithms, sequencing, conditional statements, and loops, with explanations tailored to the targeted age group.<\/span><\/div>\n
It also featured practical applications using interactive educational platforms, group activities that promoted teamwork and collaboration, as well as training exercises and educational games that helped participants understand programming concepts in an engaging and accessible way.<\/span><\/div>\n
Time was also allocated to answer participants\u2019 questions and discuss their ideas and proposed projects. <\/span><\/div>\n
The workshop concluded with presentations of the participants\u2019 simple programming projects and ideas, reflecting their understanding of the training content.<\/span><\/div>\n
Constructive feedback was provided to motivate them toward continuous improvement. <\/span><\/div>\n
Emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing to learn programming, keeping pace with modern technological developments, and encouraging participation in advanced courses and workshops in the future, given their significant role in refining skills and opening broad horizons in various technology fields.<\/span><\/div>\n
