\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The Avicenna Center for E-learning at the University of Baghdad held a workshop titled “Promoting Principles of Cultural Diversity in Iraqi Society” on Thursday, October 31, 2024, presented by Assistant Designer Lara Ghassan Shayea.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness of the importance of embracing cultural, intellectual, and religious diversity within Iraqi society. It explored how a culture of diversity can foster a stable, cohesive society by promoting values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among individuals from various backgrounds.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The presenter highlighted the role of effective communication in enhancing mutual understanding, noting that constructive dialogue allows for a deeper comprehension of differences, reduces misunderstandings, and strengthens positive relationships within the community.<\/span><\/p>\n

In concluding the workshop, the presenter encouraged ongoing similar initiatives to educate future generations on the necessity of respecting diversity and accepting others. She urged educational and community institutions to work together to establish a culture of diversity as a foundation for social peace and harmonious coexistence.<\/span><\/p>\n
