Ibn Sina E-Learning Center Organizes a “Summer Training Course for High School Students”
As part of the ongoing summer training program organized by the Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning, a training course titled
“Summer Training for Students of Al-Wihda Vocational High School, Vocational Education Department in Al-Rusafa”
was held.
The course was presented by Senior Engineer Ali Saif Al-Din Ubaid and Assistant Translator Balkis Haqi Ismail on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
The course aimed to develop basic digital skills among high school students, recognizing that this age group requires a strong foundation in technology and computer use.
It was designed as a comprehensive introductory training to help students acquire foundational knowledge and essential skills related to computer use and applications.
During the second week, the course focused on a complete training module to equip students with core digital competencies, with special emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
The curriculum included an introduction to the program’s main interface—such as the menu bar, toolbar, and formula bar—as well as a thorough overview of the various tabs.
The course also covered the most important functions used in Excel, including mathematical, logical, and statistical functions.
The course concluded with follow-up on students’ homework assignments related to Excel.
It also featured intensive practical training sessions, giving students the opportunity to apply what they had learned in theory.
This hands-on approach helped enhance their understanding and improve their proficiency in effectively using the software in real-world tasks.
