Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Raed Faleh Hassan, the College of Science organized an educational seminar entitled
“Digital Transformation in Academic Institutions and Its Impact on Enhancing the Participation of Women in Administration”,
in cooperation with the Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning and the Computer Center, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the Discussion Hall of the Computer Science Department. The seminar was presented by Dr. Sura Abdul Munaf, Asst. Lecturer Maryam Ali Matloob, and Asst. Lecturer Asaad Abdul Rahman.
The seminar focused on digital training for developing administrative women’s skills in digital leadership within academic institutions, empowering them to use modern technologies efficiently, and enhancing their ability to make data-driven and knowledge-based decisions.
It also aimed to refine their skills in communication and management through digital platforms. The discussion highlighted the importance of facilitating access to information and clarifying decision-making mechanisms, as well as promoting accountability and transparency across various administrative levels.
It emphasized the need to establish a fair and open work environment that fosters mutual trust between management and staff.
In conclusion, the seminar stressed that e-governance is a fundamental pillar for achieving transparency and administrative reform in academic institutions.
By adopting digital systems that ensure procedural clarity, data accuracy, and efficient monitoring and evaluation, institutions can enhance trust, integrity, and responsibility among staff. Moreover, digital transformation plays a vital role in empowering women administrators within academic institutions, opening new horizons for their participation in decision-making, providing them with technological tools that enhance their leadership and management capabilities, and helping them develop their skills in a flexible and innovative work environment that integrates technology and administration—thereby contributing to comprehensive institutional development.
