“Digital Culture and Its Impact on Women”
The Avicenna Center for E-Learning organized a workshop entitled
“Digital Culture and Its Impact on Women”
, presented by Lecturer Maryam Ali Matloob, on Monday, January 5, 2026.
The workshop was held in person at the Electronic Computing Center Hall, within the framework of cooperation between the two centers for the year 2025.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of digital culture and highlight its importance in the life of contemporary women, as well as to clarify its role in enhancing digital awareness and empowering women to use modern technologies in a positive and effective manner.
It also sought to explain the impact of digital transformation in expanding women’s educational and professional opportunities.
The workshop included several topics, such as the concept of digital culture, essential digital skills, and the role of social media in supporting women’s participation in society.
In addition, it discussed the digital challenges faced by women and methods of protection and digital security. The workshop concluded by emphasizing the necessity of developing women’s digital culture to keep pace with modern requirements, and the importance of continuous training to enhance digital competence.
The workshop also produced a number of recommendations aimed at supporting women’s role in the digital society.
