The workshop aimed to spread awareness about the importance of proper use of mobile phones and social media, to introduce students to their positive and negative impacts on individuals and society, and to promote positive and responsible behavior when dealing with smart devices and digital platforms.
It also aimed to develop a sense of commitment to ethical values, preserve time, respect others’ privacy, and use technology in a way that serves study and daily life in a useful and safe manner.
The workshop included a detailed explanation of the benefits and risks of improper use of mobile phones and social media, and clarification of the rules and etiquette of interaction on social media platforms, such as respecting others, avoiding abuse or cyberbullying, protecting privacy, and not spreading false information.
It also included real-life examples and practical advice on time management and reducing phone addiction, with emphasis on the role of the family and school in guidance and follow-up.
The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations encouraging conscious and safe use of technology, emphasizing the importance of adhering to proper digital etiquette, respecting others, and valuing time, as well as investing social media in ways that benefit individuals and society.
It also stressed the need to continue spreading awareness among students and encouraging them to make mobile phones and social media tools for learning and positive communication instead of misuse.
