“Using Microsoft Access to Facilitate Tasks”
The Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning organized a workshop entitled “Using Microsoft Access to Facilitate Tasks.”
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Chief Programmers Noor Haikal Hussein, Head of the Media and Government Communication Unit at our Center, on Thursday, 26/2/2026.

It was held in person at the Electronic Computing Center Hall within the framework of cooperation between the two centers for the year 2025.
The workshop aimed to empower participants with an in-depth understanding of Microsoft Access and its role in creating integrated databases that contribute to organizing institutional work.

It also sought to enhance participants’ abilities in managing, storing, and retrieving data quickly and accurately, reducing errors resulting from manual processes, and developing analytical and reporting skills that support decision-making within the workplace.
The workshop included both theoretical and practical components, covering an introduction to the program interface and its basic elements, the mechanism of creating tables and defining data types, and explaining the concept of relationships between tables to ensure data integrity.

It also addressed how to design queries to extract specific data based on certain conditions, create forms to facilitate data entry, and prepare professional reports to present results in an organized manner.

Practical examples simulating real work environments were presented, such as archiving official correspondence, managing employee data, and organizing follow-up records.
The workshop concluded with an interactive session to answer participants’ questions and discuss the main challenges they may face while using the program, along with practical tips for employing it efficiently across various administrative departments.

Emphasis was also placed on the importance of digital transformation and adopting electronic systems in accomplishing tasks, given their significant role in enhancing accuracy, productivity, and workflow efficiency.
