Baghdad – April 29, 2026

The Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning organized a workshop titled “Women and E-Learning: Experiences and Success Stories,” presented by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ali Matloub, a faculty member at our center. The workshop was held in person at the Electronic Calculator Center’s hall, as part of the 2026 joint cooperation framework between the two centers.

Objectives and Key Highlights

The workshop aimed to highlight the pivotal role of digital technologies in empowering women educationally and professionally. It focused on leveraging distance learning platforms to overcome the temporal and spatial challenges women may face in their academic careers, while showcasing inspiring models that demonstrate women’s proficiency in the digital sphere.

The sessions covered several key themes, including:

  • Global and Local Success Stories: A review of prominent achievements in the field of e-learning.

  • Modern Educational Tools: An explanation of advanced platforms and how to adapt them to serve scientific research and personal skill development.

  • Work-Life Balance: Strategies for balancing social responsibilities with the requirements of continuous learning in the knowledge age.

Conclusion and Recommendations

The event concluded with an open discussion session, resulting in a set of recommendations that emphasized the necessity of enhancing digital literacy among women. It also called for providing them with the essential technical skills to keep pace with the comprehensive digital transformation currently underway at the University of Baghdad and all educational institutions.
