Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning Organizes a Workshop on “Fundamentals of Programming”

Baghdad – May 3, 2026

The Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning organized a specialized workshop titled “Fundamentals of Programming,” presented by Assistant Lecturer Ali Saif Al-Din Obaid, a faculty member at our center. The workshop took place in person at the Electronic Calculator Center’s hall, within the 2026 cooperation framework between the two centers.

Workshop Objectives

The workshop aimed to introduce the core concepts of programming and simplify its underlying principles. Key focus areas included:

  • Developing Logical and Analytical Thinking: Enhancing participants’ ability to solve problems using modern programming methodologies.

  • Algorithmic Thinking: Explaining how to transform ideas into structured, actionable steps that a computer can execute efficiently.

  • Digital Empowerment: Highlighting programming as a vital tool that enables learners to innovate and adapt to the rapidly evolving digital era.

Core Themes and Topics

The sessions provided a comprehensive overview of programming basics, covering:

  • Algorithms: A detailed explanation of algorithmic logic and operational mechanisms.

  • Programming Languages: An introduction to popular languages and their diverse applications, such as mobile app development and web design.

  • Career Horizons: Highlighting the importance of coding skills in the modern labor market and exploring career paths in Software Development, Information Security (Cybersecurity), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
