The Avicenna E-Learning Center organized a workshop titled “Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT” on Monday, December 16, 2024, presented by Assistant Lecturer Farah Rafid and Mrs. Intisar Hussein. The session explored AI concepts, the basics of using ChatGPT, and the ethical and future challenges associated with these technologies.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to AI fundamentals and its diverse applications, highlighting how this technology can emulate human intelligence in image recognition, problem-solving, and forecasting. It included a detailed explanation of ChatGPT as an intelligent language model capable of supporting conversations, generating creative content, and providing customer support.
Discussions emphasized the ethical challenges of using ChatGPT, such as privacy concerns, potential data breaches, and the risk of overreliance on technology diminishing critical thinking. The workshop underscored the importance of establishing ethical boundaries to prevent misuse, such as spreading misinformation or engaging in deceptive practices.
