The Avicenna E-Learning Center held a workshop titled “Digital Transformation in Education” on Monday, December 16, 2024, presented by Assistant Instructor Farah Rafid and Assistant Instructor Sawsan Hadi.

     The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the concept of digital transformation, which involves transitioning various sectors to operate using digital technologies. This shift enables the creation of innovative digital services and products, enhances the value of existing offerings through new revenue channels, and boosts competitiveness in response to rapid advancements across industries.

     Focusing on education, the workshop explored the use of modern technologies, such as smart devices, educational applications, and interactive digital content, to improve the learning experience. Digital transformation in education seeks to foster critical and creative thinking skills among students while providing a flexible and innovative learning environment. Techniques like remote learning and virtual reality were highlighted as tools to make education more effective and engaging.

     The session underscored the importance of digital transformation as a driver of progress in education and other fields. It also addressed challenges such as the need for advanced infrastructure and training educators to handle digital tools, emphasizing the necessity of collaborative efforts to successfully achieve digital transformation.
