The Avicenna E-Learning Center organized a workshop titled “The Importance of Blended Learning and Designing Interactive Lessons to Enhance Student Engagement” on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Assistant Instructor Hajer Basim Mohammed Ali led the session, discussing the integration of traditional and electronic learning for a comprehensive educational experience.

     The workshop aimed to highlight the benefits of blended learning, such as improving education quality, fostering student engagement, and developing digital skills. It presented practical examples of implementing blended learning through strategies like flipped classrooms and interactive tools, including Google Classroom and Quizizz, to motivate students and make the learning process enjoyable.

     The session covered steps for designing interactive electronic lessons to enhance active student participation, emphasizing online discussions as a key method for fostering interaction and idea exchange. Practical tips were provided on managing discussions via educational platforms and using open-ended questions to stimulate critical thinking.

     The workshop concluded by underscoring blended learning as a pioneering model that combines the advantages of traditional and online education, enhancing overall teaching quality. It stressed the importance of leveraging modern technology to create interactive lessons that increase student engagement and participation, ultimately achieving exceptional learning outcomes.
