Ibn Sina E-Learning Center Organizes a Workshop on “Combating Corruption in Government Institutions”
The Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning organized a workshop titled “Financial and Administrative Corruption in Government Institutions”, presented by Chief Translator Zaid Hammoudi Faraj, on Monday, June 23, 2025.
The workshop highlighted the serious impact of financial and administrative corruption on government institutions and their various departments, with an emphasis on the negative repercussions on sustainable development, the efficiency of public service delivery, and citizen trust in governmental institutions.
It also focused on identifying financial and administrative issues within public institutions and distinguishing between financial corruption—mismanagement of public financial resources—and administrative corruption, which involves the abuse of power for personal gain or to obstruct public interest.
The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness about the risks of financial and administrative corruption in government institutions and its effect on institutional performance and the quality of services provided to citizens.
It also sought to enable participants to recognize the different forms, causes, and consequences of corruption, and to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills for prevention and mitigation.
This was achieved through a focus on legal and administrative deterrents, and by promoting the values of integrity and transparency in the public sector.
The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of both individual and institutional efforts to combat financial and administrative corruption in government institutions.
Participants were urged to comply with laws and regulations that promote transparency and integrity and to transfer the knowledge and skills gained during the workshop to their work environments, contributing effectively to building more efficient and transparent government institutions that meet citizens’ needs and safeguard public funds.
