As part of the series of activities launched by the Women’s Affairs Division for the month of April, the Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning organized an awareness campaign titled “Social, Economic, and Environmental Aspects of Life” on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

The campaign was supervised by Asst. Lecturer Maryam Ali Matloob, the Women’s Affairs liaison at the center, with active participation from university students. The initiative involved distributing educational brochures aimed at spreading social awareness, fostering a culture of prevention, and emphasizing the vital balance between environmental, social, and economic pillars in individual and community life.

Key Objectives & Impact

The campaign was strategically designed to:

  • Promote Innovation: Encourage students to adopt innovative initiatives, such as recycling and waste reduction.

  • Foster Environmental Stewardship: Rooting positive behaviors and environmental consciousness among the youth.

  • Integrate Sustainability: Promoting the concept of Sustainable Development as an integrated process combining economic growth, environmental protection, and social equity.

This initiative reflects the University of Baghdad’s commitment to engaging students in meaningful community activities, contributing to the development of a conscious generation capable of addressing global socio-economic and environmental challenges.

Conclusion

The event witnessed significant engagement from the student body, who showed great interest in the educational content. Organizers reaffirmed the importance of sustaining such activities to reinforce social responsibility and keep the momentum of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
