Within the framework of constructive cooperation among the formations of our university, the Central Library, in collaboration with our Center, organized an educational seminar entitled “Voting Procedures and the Distribution of the Biometric Voter Card” on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Central Library Hall of our university.
The seminar was managed by the Electoral Relations Division of the Independent High Electoral Commission, with the aim of raising awareness among students and staff about the mechanisms of the electoral process in accordance with the legal and administrative regulations adopted by the Commission.
The seminar included a detailed explanation of the stages of voter registration, the mechanism of delivering the biometric card, and the method of using it on election day to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the elections.
It also highlighted the importance of active participation in the democratic process.
The seminar also discussed the role of employees in registration centers and how to handle special cases such as lost cards or data updates.
The event aimed to enhance electoral awareness among attendees, strengthen the concept of responsible participation in building state institutions, and promote a culture of integrity and transparency.
The seminar concluded with several recommendations emphasizing the need to expedite the collection of biometric voter cards and to participate consciously in the upcoming elections.
The session ended with an open discussion and answers to participants’ questions.
Attendees included Dr. Ali Abdul Hassan Kazar, Director of Human Resources, representing the Center Director, along with several heads of divisions and units.
