The Avicenna Center for E-Learning organized a workshop titled “Presentation Design and Basics of Montage” on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. The workshop was presented by Designer Lara Ghassan Shayaa and Assistant Instructor Hajer Basim.
The workshop aimed to showcase an application used for photo and video editing. Ms. Lara Ghassan, the head of the montage unit at the center, explained how to arrange photos and present them attractively, highlighting the features of the application that make it user-friendly for beginners.
She also demonstrated how to edit videos, detailing the application’s capabilities in terms of cutting, adding music, and applying filters to enhance the quality and aesthetics of the clips. Additionally, she showed how to add text for commentary or to provide related information.
Meanwhile, Ms. Hajar Basim explained how to design presentations used in workshops or lectures for students in an easy and distinctive way. She introduced Canva as an alternative to PowerPoint, noting that this application does not require extensive computer skills. After creating an account, users can access a wide variety of templates related to most topics and can design interactive lessons, add sound effects, video clips, and much more.
