The Avicenna E-Learning Center organized a workshop titled “Learning Video Editing Using Smart Applications” on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. The session was delivered by Asst. Designer Lara Ghassan Shayea.
The workshop focused on the practical use of the popular InShot application for professional photo and video editing. The trainer showcased key features of the app, including filters and effects, collage creation, and video merging with music transitions—making it an ideal tool for both beginners and professionals in the field of video editing.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with essential editing skills through smart applications and link those skills to e-learning. The trainer demonstrated how to use InShot to produce engaging educational content by adding animated text and visual effects to instructional videos, thereby enhancing the e-learning experience and making academic material more interactive and accessible. She also emphasized the importance of managing video quality and size to facilitate easy sharing on educational platforms.
The session concluded with a hands-on activity focusing on educational use cases. The trainer highlighted that mastering these tools can support both instructors and students in creating professional visual content, whether for lesson explanations or presentations.
