In response to the directives of the Women’s Affairs Division, the Avicenna E-Learning Center held a workshop titled “The Role of Socialization in Enhancing Children’s Skills” on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The session was presented by Ms. Intisar Hussein.

The workshop discussed the essential role of the family as the first social institution in shaping a child’s personality and developing their abilities. It emphasized instilling ethical values and reinforcing fundamental skills within a supportive and emotionally secure environment.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of social upbringing within the family in developing children’s motor, linguistic, and emotional skills. The presenter explained that positive interaction among family members, encouragement of family activities, and the cultivation of social values contribute to strengthening a child’s self-confidence and help them express themselves and communicate effectively with their surroundings.

The session concluded by stressing that maintaining balance in the family’s educational and developmental roles requires awareness and thoughtful planning. This includes effective communication with the child, providing a stable and stimulating environment, and utilizing available educational resources. The family remains the cornerstone in shaping a mature and responsible individual in society.
